A further significant way that the P&C Association contributes to the school environment is contributing to the infrastructure. In 2005 a strategic plan was developed that provided a medium framework of desirable additions to the school. Past developments include the Activities Building, putting air conditioning into all the classrooms and constructing the Junior School Playground. Current plans include the Oval Grandstand and extension to the Library and Resource Centre.

Activities Building
In 1998, the P&C built the Activities Building which is used by both the school and the wider community. It was opened the 21 February, 1999. The loan that was taken out for this project will be retired in May 2008.
Oval Steps/Grandstand
The P&C was awarded a Queensland Government Gambling Community Benefit Fund grant in 2006 to build a set of steps above the oval beside the activities building. It was officially opened by Caroline Frazer on April 3 2007. Honoured guests included Kate Jones MP and Councillor Geraldine Knapp.
The OSHC executive with help from the environment club have planted 50 dry-tolerant shrubs and grasses on the eastern side to improve the outlook. A ramp provides safer access to the oval and the (occasional) mud bath between the activities building and the tennis courts has been concreted over.
A future project will add a roof to provide shade and complete the grandstand.
Junior School Playground
In 2006 the P&C committed $35,000 from accumulated funds to help develop the Junior School Precinct. A key item was to redevelop the playground and surrounds to have a area appropriate for Prep to Year 3 children. This involved leveling the area, installing the equipment and laying new turf - thankfully it rained just enough over the summer to establish the grass!
The playground has been a resounding success with both the littlies and the older children though the buddy system.
Library and Resource Centre extension The original library cum resource centre was built in 1970. In 2006 the school and P&C was awarded a $146,000 "Investing in our Schools" grant to upgrade the resource centre. It allowed us to extend the library towards the eastern side and will require an additional $50,000 investment by the P&C.
The original end looked like this ...
Air conditioning In 2006 the P&C polled the school community to gauge the level of support for air conditioning the classrooms. This resulted in a 30% response rate with 86% in favour of and willing to contribute to providing air conditioning in the school classrooms.
Kitchen in the Hall The new kitchen has been installed into the school hall. One day we will acquire about 2 linear metres of pale tiles to complete the wall backing.
