This term began with magic carpet rides to different countries around the world. We have found out some information about some different cultures and cooked some of their food.
We have made masks from South Africa (Angus' dad was working there), kites and oragami chatteroxes from Japan (Oskar and Sophie have visited Japan), and threaded patterned Hawaiian leis.
Freddy brought in photos from London- the London Tower Bridge & castles, so now we've built a castle with a dungeon and dragon's cave. We have also made knight's armour, swords, shields and crowns to use in the castle.
These are some of the other exciting things to look forward to in Prep this term:
Thursday 17 July- Dance Around the World with the TIE dance company
Friday 8 August- visit to the Gallery of Modern Art & Children's corner at eh State Library
Monday 4 August- Queensland Arts Council: Hermes Goes Environ-Mental
Friday 29 August- Under Eights Fun Day
